Position Summary

The Senior Project Execution Manager is responsible for overseeing the Project Management ensure the successful execution of utility-scale energy projects. This role will focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with deep experience in project execution, and operational efficiency. This position requires expertise in managing complex projects, directing large teams, and driving continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Lead the Project Management teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to maintain alignment with company goals.
  • Drive accountability for scope, cost, schedule, and risk management across all projects.
  • Ensure proper project controls, reporting, and forecasting are in place to track performance.
  • Identify and resolve project bottlenecks while optimizing efficiency and execution strategies.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers and construction managers.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership in problem-solving and decision-making across project teams.
  • Work closely with internal departments to align project execution with company objectives.

Stakeholder & Contractor Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership on project execution matters.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, and field construction teams.
  • Collaborate with permitting and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with all requirements.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Develop and implement best practices for project execution and construction management.
  • Continuously assess and improve project workflows, reporting structures, and operational processes.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, cost control, and risk mitigation in project execution.
  • Support the integration of digital tools and software to streamline project management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in project execution, construction management, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • In-depth understanding of project controls, cost management, scheduling, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with contract negotiations, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in renewable energy, battery storage, or utility-scale projects.
  • PMP, PE, or similar industry certification.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, and other industry standards.
