Overview

Responsible for the development and management of the strategy, products, and service model for the national PEO Sales organization; ensuring the achievement of quota & profit/margin objectives. Provides direction, guidance, and development to the PEO sales teams in order to accomplish established business targets including profitability, client retention, and growth.

Responsibilities
  • As part of the PEO senior leadership team, identifies ongoing enhancements to the value proposition, service strategy, and pricing approach for the national PEO organization to support client satisfaction and future revenue attainment.
  • Responsible for defining, creating, and executing the overall PEO sales strategy.
  • Communicates the vision and strategy to the PEO sales organization, motivating people to commit to actions that achieve or exceed business goals.
  • Leads and holds PEO Area Directors accountable for making data‑driven decisions, achieving goals, building effective sales teams, and growing their strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Collaborates frequently and effectively with other critical organizations and senior level management within Paychex in order to continuously improve the performance of the division and to drive necessary improvements in other functions.
  • Evaluates and drives performance of the PEO sales organization to exceed sales and profit objectives.
  • Effectively communicates the results and action plans of the PEO sales organization in executive‑level business reviews.
  • Oversees and becomes directly involved in the recruitment of superior leadership talent. Recruits, selects, hires, and evaluates performance of talent to ensure departmental needs are met.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, with a strong record of achieving or exceeding performance targets.
  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, including at least 5 years in multi‑level (2nd level or above) leadership overseeing leaders and their teams.
Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $220k – $280k annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
