Position Overview

The Market Manager for the Western Market, operating remotely from the San Francisco area, is responsible for driving sales, profit, and key performance indicators in a high-volume market. This role involves motivating teams, establishing standards, planning strategies, and ensuring follow-up. Reporting to the District Manager, the candidate must demonstrate integrity, develop people, and foster engagement, aligning with the company's core values and winning ways.

A deep understanding of the local demographic is essential for strategic growth and consistent results.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve goals in sales, controllable profit, EBITDA, payroll, P&L, email capture, proprietary credit card, ship-from-store, and omni-channel initiatives.

Lead company initiatives, communicate objectives clearly, and work through direct reports to drive results.

Support selling and customer service, motivate the team, and execute company initiatives.

Ensure adherence to HR policies, monitor performance, compliance, and hiring in partnership with DVP.

Manage training, IDPs, mobility, and talent succession planning by recruiting and developing leaders.

Hire, train, develop, and retain team members, preparing them for increased responsibilities.

Maintain fair practices in hiring, scheduling, promotions, and performance management.

Address poor performance and terminations appropriately, in partnership with HR and legal teams.

Oversee inventory strategies, store audits, and communicate policies.

Manage merchandise presentation and signage standards in collaboration with DVP.

Partner with DVP on merchandise assortment to reflect customer preferences.

Coordinate with the Visual and Creative teams for store presentation.

Qualifications

Four-year degree preferred.
Goal-oriented with leadership experience managing a high-volume sales team.
Proficient with technology, including Google Suite.
Strategic planning and execution skills.
Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness to travel across the district.
8+ years of leadership experience in similar volume environments or proven success in managing sales teams and achieving targets.
Proven ability to develop talent, demonstrate managerial courage, and foster teamwork.

Compensation

The starting pay range is $125,000 to $135,000 annually, subject to individual factors such as experience and location. The total compensation may include benefits like medical, financial, and paid time off, with details provided upon offer.
