Property Manager - Northridge, CA

Location: Northridge, CA
Compensation: $35-$43 per hour (DOE)
Employment Type: Direct Hire, Onsite

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential community in Northridge, CA. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure a positive living environment and smooth property management operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of property operations including leasing, marketing, financial management, and administration.
  • Supervise on-site staff and foster a positive, productive work environment.
  • Conduct tours, qualify prospects, and close leases while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws.
  • Oversee resident move-ins and move-outs, maintain accurate records, and manage resident relations.
  • Implement marketing strategies and resident retention programs.
  • Monitor property condition through regular inspections and coordinate maintenance as needed.
  • Handle rent collection, delinquency processes, and legal notices in compliance with California regulations.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, approve purchase orders, and review vendor invoices.
  • Train and mentor leasing consultants, schedule staff, and lead team meetings.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in property management or related field.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; regular walking, standing, and computer work.
  • Other: Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; occasional travel within Southern California and Arizona.
