Under the general direction of the Assistant Correctional Food Manager, the Supervising Correctional Cook has a broad range of responsibilities; planning, organizing and supervising the preparation, cooking, distribution and serving of food to residents (incarcerated persons). Serving (3) meals per day. The Supervising Correctional Cook supervises the maintenance of food services equipment, supplies and work areas, provides assignments and instructions and training to staff.

Working Conditions:
California Correctional Institution is located in the Tehachapi Mountains approximately 325 miles south of Sacramento and approximately 120 miles north of Los Angeles. CCI is a Multi‑level, Sensitive Needs Yard, facility consisting of three (3) facilities, encompassed within a campus style layout with varied terrain. Work in this location may require exposure to varied temperatures dependent upon the season.
