This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance.
This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
We are seeking skilled Avionics Technicians who will leverage their technical expertise and leadership to ensure safe and efficient human spaceflight.
* This is a pooling requisition for current and anticipated openings across multiple Lunar teams and shifts. Candidates will be matched to the right roles as needs are identified.

* Key Responsibilities:
*** Configure new production work areas with the necessary tooling and equipment to ensure efficient workflow and minimize any potential delays during the transition to high-rate manufacturing.
* Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.) and precision calibrated tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, etc.) to maintain high safety and quality standards.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity.
* Drive the transition from development to production, proactively performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
* Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles to promote safety and operational efficiency.
* Prepare and test payload systems and hardware by applying materials, conducting painting, sealing, composite layup, repairs, testing, and assisting with vehicle assembly and installation.
** Team Focus & Domain Expertise:
** Team assignments will be determined based on experience and business needs. You may specialize and support efforts in one or more of the following areas:
* Production / Manufacturing Support | Provide tactical and technical support by setting up or improving manufacturing work areas and production operations. Support design, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro/mechanical systems and specialized test equipment.
* Integration / Assembly & Test | Perform assembly, test, checkout, troubleshooting, and maintenance of flight and ground hardware. Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, or defined plans for assembly, testing, and checkout. Use manufacturing, test, or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
* Electrical / Mechanical Systems | Hands-on activities supporting cable and harness production, sensor installation, connector work, and cable routing. Participate in operational testing, system fault isolation, and assist in developing remediation or improvement methods.

* Minimum Qualifications:
*** Relevant Manufacturing & Avionics Technician experience: 8+ years
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
* Experience with precision calibration tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, and optical measuring instruments.
* Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at heights (work stands, ladders, lifts) and/or in confined spaces.
* Expertise in various applications, including adhesives, sealants, and thermal blankets.
* Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work required shift and site, with flexibility for extended shifts/overtime as needed

* Preferred Qualifications:
*** Certified in IPC/WHMA-A-620 Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
* Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field.
