Aircraft Inflatable Technician

Under general supervision, the technician is responsible for the assembly and repackaging of inflatable products in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and written procedures.

• Read and interpret data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection, and testing procedures, ensure all items are accounted for and the assembly is ready for packing.
• Perform duties such as manual lifting, pulling, pushing, and tugging to repackage articles, use proper tooling to repackage inflatables in accordance with OEM/CMM and/or approved data.
• Insert units into oven, when necessary, work in conjunction with inspector to provide continuity in packing process, ensure that all parts and components are in airworthy condition prior to packing.
• Measure dimensions and/or use templates to verify specified dimensions or settings meet OEM guidelines, confirm all packing aids are accounted for.
• Completes documents and forms applicable to the work task.
• Carry out duties in accordance to QCM/RSM written specifications and procedures.
• Ensure any relevant Airworthiness Directives (AD’s) are applied.
• Check that Service Bulletins are complied with when applicable to the required task.
• Maintain working area in an organized and neat condition, observe and follow all safety rules and policies.
• Maintain an acceptable level of productivity as determined by department requirements and provide team member support.
