Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician I (Contract-to-Hire)
Must be based in California
Base pay: $23.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Salary Range: $47,800 - $54,100 per year
Location: San Carlos, CA - Onsite Role
Job Summary: The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for performing routine manufacturing activities in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role supports daily production operations, including material handling, solution preparation, equipment cleaning, and accurate documentation in compliance with established procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform daily manufacturing tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Weigh materials and prepare solutions and production components.
- Execute manufacturing, packaging, and related production tasks.
- Accurately document all activities in manufacturing batch records.
- Clean and maintain production equipment and manufacturing areas.
- Prepare and sanitize manufacturing equipment prior to production.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Experience using analytical balances and weighing materials accurately.
- Experience handling solids and liquids, including pouring and filtering.
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately complete batch records.
- Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagram, and schedule-based instructions.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals.
- Ability to use a calculator to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to recognize and communicate production-related issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot with supervision.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to use basic email and internet functions.
- GMP training in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is required.
