WB Industries MBE/DBE is looking for a Welding Supervisor with real, hands‑on experience in structural fabrication who can lead from the floor, not the office.

This role is for someone who has spent years in the trade, understands how things are built, and can guide a crew through complex work while keeping quality, safety, and production aligned.

You should bring strong, practical expertise in MIG, TIG, stick, and flux‑core welding, along with a solid background in structural fabrication. You are comfortable reading complex prints, weld symbols, and specifications, and you understand metal behavior, distortion control, and how fabrication choices impact downstream work. When problems show up with equipment, fixturing, or weld quality, you know how to diagnose them quickly and fix them correctly.

The Welding Supervisor is expected to have a firm understanding of weld quality standards, inspection practices, and defect prevention, along with experience supporting procedure qualification, welder performance testing, and required documentation. You actively reinforce OSHA‑compliant practices and help set the tone for a safety‑first, production‑smart culture on the floor.

You coach welders at different skill levels and help them improve without micromanaging. You communicate clearly, handle discipline and conflict fairly, and set expectations that people understand and respect. Accountability matters here, and you follow through in a way that keeps the team productive and moving forward.

You're responsible for organizing daily work, staging materials, and keeping jobs on track—even when plans change. Emergency builds, rework, and design updates are part of real fabrication, and you're comfortable adjusting priorities to keep production moving. You work closely with machining, paint, design, and production to make sure projects move smoothly from start to finish.

When issues come up, you make practical decisions backed by experience. You know how to balance quality, speed, and safety without cutting corners. You don't just fix problems—you identify root causes and help prevent repeat issues.

Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour.
