Hurtt Fabricating has an exciting new career opportunity and is accepting applications and resumes for welder position(s). We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated, have a strong work ethic, and enjoy working in a hands-on, team environment.

The welder:

Welds materials in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions

Cuts and smoothens metal components using plasma cutters and portable grinders to carry out welding according to set dimensions

Reads and interprets blueprints and production drawings in order to lay out a welding project

Operates forklifts/cranes in conveying work materials to welding site

Conducts hydrostatic, x-ray, and tolerance tests to assess weld quality and conformance to specifications

Collaborates with supervisor and welding leads to ensure smooth work operations and adherence to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment

Guides and directs the activities of inexperienced/trainee welders

Communicates with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials

Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Applicants must be dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented.

Can continuously stand 7.5 to10 hours and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds

Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
