Job SummarySet up and operate various threadroll machines for manufacturing precision aircraft quality fasteners.
Key Responsibilities- Be able to use and set all gages, micrometers, calipers, plug and ring gages, comparator and microscope
- Understand threadroll part feature terminology
- Read and interpret part drawings, work instructions, process control procedures, policies and procedures
- Use the necessary measuring tools
- Recognize improper machine functioning and take action to report any safety concerns
- Perform first piece verification process per part print and do loaf pan inspections
- Perform daily 5S on work area and equipment and understand lean principles
- Perform preventative maintenance daily at shift start
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Good communication skill and know basic shop math
- Pass production stamp test
- Understand QMS
- Be able to complete transactions in Shop-Trak accurately
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Blueprint reading: learn to read and understand blueprints.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 0-6 months experience in threadrolling aircraft quality fasteners on various types of threadroll machines; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
2nd shift differential: $19.00 - $29.86
Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location.
