Job Responsibilities
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, tools, equipment, furnishing, fixtures, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems using journeyman level skills in all crafts required to complete the essential functions of the job.
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery, tools and equipment to assure proper working condition.
  • listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with appropriate personnel to diagnose problems or repair machines.
  • Dismantles defective machines, tools and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, transformers, wiring, and electrical/electronic components of machinery and equipment, including communication lines or equipment.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems, including facility plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repairs and replaces gauges, valves, and related equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains the physical structure and appearance of the establishment, including cleaning, painting, repairing furniture or fixtures, and disposal of trash and hazardous materials.
  • Install programs or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
  • Set up and operate machine tools (lathe, grinder, drill, milling machine) to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other structures from various materials.
  • Licensed and capable of operating a motor vehicle; skilled to drive and operate a forklift.
  • Work as an active team member, participate in problem solving, team building, and other activities to improve processes, productivity, and quality; train other employees as required; assist other Company personnel as needed.
  • Perform duties to prevent damage or loss of hours due to improper maintenance; maintain and repair machines, tools, equipment, and the physical plant at high levels of complexity.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and communication regarding maintenance and repair issues as they affect production schedules or working environment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety requirements related to machines, tools, equipment, and the physical plant, including fire safety, hazardous material handling, and building safety codes.
  • Exercise considerable initiative in solving highly complex problems related to maintaining and repairing the physical plant and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions; ability to perform routine duties requiring independent judgment.
  • Education And/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Physical Demands: Standing, handling, walking, reaching, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally; vision requirements as specified.
Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $20.67 - $38.46. Compensation can vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and location; some roles may qualify for incentives or bonuses. Details provided during the interview process.
