Primary Summary
The Engineering Technician will diagnose, disassemble, rebuild, and align precision machine tools and equipment. Responsibilities include routine to complex machinery repairs and maintenance, scheduled preventive maintenance, and developing/testing solutions to technical problems in research, manufacturing, and maintenance. The role supports engineers by designing, conducting tests, and analyzing data, as well as updating machine PM intervals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Create solutions to complex technical problems, inspect processes for flaws, conduct tests, assist in production design, build and set up equipment, utilize CAD tools, estimate costs, design and test electronic and mechanical systems, update CMMS, follow 5S procedures, install and repair electrical systems, diagnose malfunctions, understand PLC controls, rebuild machine tools, perform precision measurements, modify machinery, assist team members, use hand and power tools, perform welding, assist in new construction, ensure safety compliance, participate in training, report nonconformances, suggest waste reduction initiatives, and other duties as assigned.

Demonstrate analytical thinking, technical skills in mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, electrical systems, welding, forklift operation, design, and communication. Exhibit teamwork, business acumen, cost consciousness, adaptability, planning, professionalism, and a proactive safety culture.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities but may assist in coaching trainees or less experienced personnel.

Essential Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED, certification in trades or equivalent experience, minimum 5 years related manufacturing or trades experience, ability to read drawings, familiarity with lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Skills And Abilities
Proficiency with CMMS, Excel, Solid Works; ability to interpret instructions and documents; mathematical skills; problem-solving skills; possession of relevant certificates (e.g., Fork-lift, Hazwoper); physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 40 pounds; and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Physical Demands and Environment
Frequent use of hands, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and occasional sitting. Exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, moderate noise, and requirement to wear PPE. Reasonable accommodations available.

HSE Responsibilities
Participate in safety culture, report hazards, follow safety procedures, and contribute to environmental and health safety initiatives.
