Job Title: CNC Lathe Operator – 1st Shift
Location: Fenton, MO 63026
Pay rate: $25.00 - $26.00/hr
Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm

Job Overview: This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or mills to produce precision components according to blueprint specifications. Candidates should have experience operating Haas equipment, adjusting offsets, and working with machines such as Doosan 500, DMG 125, and lathes. Experience with 5-Axis machining is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Set up, lay out, and operate various CNC lathes and mills
  • Read blueprints and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, tooling instructions, cutting speeds, and sequence of operations
  • Select, position, and secure tools in tool holders
  • Position and secure work pieces in fixtures, chucks, or machine tables
  • Adjust machine controls for feeds, speeds, and depth of cut
  • Set up fixtures and start machines
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Monitor machine operation and verify product meets specifications
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Follow all company rules, policies, and safety procedures
  • Communicate any errors or discrepancies to supervisors or engineering
  • Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools
  • Adjust, trim, and fit parts to close tolerances
  • Follow visual aids and standard work instructions
  • Perform testing and quality checks on finished products
  • Package and label finished goods as needed
  • Meet efficiency rates and maintain 5S standards
  • Report defective materials or issues to supervision
  • Rotate job assignments within various work cells
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of CNC experience preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good hand–eye coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to stand for 90% of the shift

Physical Needs:

  • Frequent standing, lifting, and manual dexterity
  • Must wear required PPE (steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses)
