Lead Maintenance Mechanic

Location:

Buick Resource Recycling, Boss, MO (night shift). Base in St. Louis, MO.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid, current driver’s license.
• Complete Doe Run maintenance training program and pass Level III Maintenance Assessment Test.
• Mobile equipment certification.
• 5S/Lean manufacturing certification.
• Environmental safety and health rules and regulations training.
• At least eight years of relevant experience or equivalent vocational training.

• Basic knowledge of divisional operations (mining, milling, smelting).
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Operate mobile equipment (cranes, forklifts, skid steer loaders).
• Metal fabrication, hydraulics/pneumatics, refractory work, bearings/seals, welding, pipe fitting, pump repair, mechanical repairs, construction maintenance.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, I-Series, AS400/People Soft).
• Read and draw schematics/blueprints.
• Use small hand tools, advanced measuring, basic math calculations.

• Provide technical and on-the-job training to others in all maintenance skill areas.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and operate equipment and machines as needed to assist team.
• Provide scheduled maintenance and repairs, including safety & environmentally compliant work.
• Manage time and work with Maintenance personnel to provide effective, timely, and efficient repair and maintenance service.
• Install new equipment/modify existing equipment.
• Complete required documentation for safety, environmental, and maintenance management.
  
  Report incidents, issues, and concerns to on-site supervisor or other leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Wear personal protective equipment; work near moving mechanical parts, wet, humid conditions, vibration, extreme heat; confined spaces; heights; loud noise.
• Require hearing, reaching, repeating, occasional sitting, driving, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing; vision and color discrimination.
• Lift up to 15 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs frequently; up to 75 lbs occasionally.
