Instrument Assembly Specialist at Automation Service
Assemble process controls instrumentation using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic testing equipment, and assorted electronic power supplies. Pre-testing components prior to assembly is common among instrument lines. Electronics assembly includes wiring, soldering components, and testing small motors. Work from OEM literature to obtain specifications, dimensional prints, and general assembly instructions. Work is normally performed at a bench but requires walking, standing, and lifting.
CoreDuties & Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic and pneumatic instruments as assigned.
- Execute work orders as assigned.
- Test and evaluate assembled instruments for conformance to specifications prior to calibration by Tech. Shop personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to interpret and follow assembly instructions and basic technical documentation.
- Attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Action Oriented – enjoys hard work; action oriented and full of energy.
- Customer Focus – consistently meets expectations and requirements of internal customers.
- Informing – provides the information people need to know to do their jobs; provides direct feedback and information so that timely and accurate decisions are made; keeps supervisor informed.
