ABOUT

THE ROLE

Provides concrete and related industry testing with a focus on three areas: research & development, manufacturing control, and customer service.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Prepare and mix concrete batches

Perform physical testing on freshly batched and hardened concrete (e.g. temperature, slump, air content, unit weight, time of setting, compressive and flexural strength)

Perform other concrete related testing and services per ASTM & AASHTO approved methods

Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment

Other duties as assigned

Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Additional Education Preferred:

Associate's degree or 3 years of equivalent experience

Field of Study Preferred:

Engineering or Technical Degree Required

Work Experience:

Experience in concrete or construction related field preferred Required Training/

Certifications:

ACI concrete field testing technician level 1 and/or ACI concrete strength testing Required Technical

Skills:

Proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Requirements:

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
