Class III FAB Machine Set-Up Operator —

Location:

Albany, MO
Shift: Weekend Day Shift (Friday‑Sunday: 5AM‑5PM) — Pay: $21.15/hour

You’ll work with precision tools and advanced fabrication equipment in a clean, safety‑focused environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
  • Use a tape measure (1/32″ accuracy) and protractor for precision.
  • Select, position, and secure tooling and fixtures onto machine.
  • Position and clamp stops, guides, and turntables.
  • Adjust controls to set and regulate machining factors such as pressure and depth of ram stroke, adjustment rolls, blade angle, and machine speed.
  • Locate and mark bending or cutting lines and reference points on workpiece.
  • Position workpiece against stops and guide or align layout marks with dies or cutting blades.
  • Start machine and observe machine operation to reposition workpiece, change dies, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes.
  • Inspect and/or measure work.
  • Label parts and move them to proper storage location.
  • Document deviations from prints or specifications and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Perform all Class I and II jobs.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education/

    Experience:

    High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Language Ability:
    Ability to read and comprehend English, write simple correspondence, and present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
  • Math Ability:
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate and percent and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Basic computer skills required.
  • Certificates & Licenses:
    Operating a fork truck is an essential function; operator must be licensed by the Company before operating a fork truck.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
