This role manages end-to-end planning and execution for external contract manufacturers, ensuring materials are purchased on time, production schedules are met, and inventory visibility remains accurate across systems. The role works closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to minimize risk and maintain service levels.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Procurement & Production Manager at Flamingo Estate, located in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. The manager will oversee the procurement processes, manage supplier relationships, optimize production workflows, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage inventory, track production schedules, and ensure all operations align with the company’s sustainability standards.

External Procurement & Supplier Management

• Create & manage Purchase Orders in Odoo for raw materials, components, and packaging required for external manufacturers
• Coordinate production schedules and delivery timelines with contract manufacturing partners
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and adherence to quality standards
• Flag risks related to delays, shortages, or capacity constraints
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing
• Ensure production aligns with approved demand and supply plans
• Track production progress, inbound shipments, and finished goods receipts
• Communicate timelines, updates, and risks to the Supply Chain Manager and Director of Operations
• Contribute to inventory health, aged stock, and performance reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve supplier efficiency, cost, and lead time reliability
• Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials at the external manufacturer location and in Odoo
• Manage inventory consumption, adjustments, and receipts in Odoo
• Ensure BOMs, SKUs, and supplier data remain accurate for all produced finished goods
• Support cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations related to external inventory
• Manage the cost of goods in Odoo, ensuring accurate costing and reporting
• Work closely with Supply Chain Manager to manage purchasing according to the Supply Plan, inputting open POs and upcoming receipts
• Support monthly reconciliation process between Finance and Operations, aligning open vendor bills, pending POs receipts and month end reporting for in house manufacturing and materials

NPD & QA support

• Ensure raw materials and packaging follow receiving protocols to review and confirm quantities, quality, COAs, and communicate swiftly and clearly with production to ensure up to the minute receipts physically and systematically.
• Manage Production Batch Records and ensure product life cycles compliance with industry standards.
• Work directly with labs to send out and manage records of micro testing results and COAs for all finished goods, ensuring product safety and quality.
• Organize and ensure up to date documentation for COAs, MSDS, Shelf life testing, Leaping Bunny certification, and other test results as needed

Qualifications

• 2-3 years CPG experience in a manufacturing, procurement or productions role
• Procurement and supplier relationship management skills
• Experience in production planning, logistics, and supply chain management
• Strong inventory management and operational optimization abilities
• Experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and financial tracking
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and production software
• Experience in sustainable practices and passion for eco-friendly operations is a plus
