Job Description

Material Handler – Deerfield, MO

This is a full‑time hourly (non‑union) position with growth potential at a soybean processing and biodiesel production facility. Work is done primarily on rotating shifts with the possibility of overtime and regular weekend work.

Shift schedule

  • Day Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM, 4 days on – 4 off
  • Night Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM, 4 nights on – 4 off

Rate of pay: $18.39–$20.81 per hour, depending on prior experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Loading and unloading agricultural products (soybeans, meal, chemicals, and oil) into trucks, railcars, drums, and totes while safely operating equipment and providing quality product to customers.
  • Will be trained to work in a quality‑controlled GMP environment.
  • Read scales and correctly weigh, sample, and direct the product to the proper locations.
  • Perform daily equipment checks to ensure equipment is functioning and maintained; conduct general housekeeping of work area; identify issues and troubleshoot solutions.
  • Operate track mobile and railcar vehicles and maintain rail safety.
  • Perform physical work outdoors: prolonged kneeling, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, shoveling, sweeping; lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Perform occasional outdoor seasonal work as needed (housekeeping, lawn care, snow removal).
  • Commit to ADM’s goal of a zero‑injury safety culture; understand and follow company safety procedures.
  • Work directly with customer personnel; maintain professional interactions and communication skills with customers.
Job Requirements
  • Prior experience operating a forklift, pallet loader, skid‑steer, or railcar mover is preferred.
  • High school education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must exhibit regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ideal candidates demonstrate initiative to work independently while being flexible to work as a team when needed.

ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.

Pay details

The pay for this position is expected to be: $19.03 per hour.
