Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures is a tier‑one manufacturer located in Scott City, Missouri. We use lean manufacturing and an agile workforce to provide custom enclosures for industries such as oil and gas exploration, energy, telecom, OEM equipment applications, and others.

Scott City, Missouri

Hourly wage: $25.00–$30.00

Pay frequency:
Weekly

The welder will weld various metals, construct and fabricate manufactured parts to complete the production process. The position supports the 3rd shift within the manufacturing line.

• Use standard industry tools and machinery.
• Work with various material types and gauge thicknesses.
• Prepare products for the next step in the production process, checking for defects in detail and cosmetic appearance.
• Report defective materials or questionable quality conditions.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Follow all required safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to weld multiple materials and thicknesses.
• Follow established SOPs and work instructions.
• Basic math knowledge and decimal‑to‑fraction conversions.
• Set up machine as required.
• Follow directions and work in a fast‑paced team environment.
• Read a tape measurer and use measuring tools.
• Detail‑oriented and thorough.
• Self‑motivated.
• Complete required paperwork accurately.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of MIG and/or TIG experience performed on aluminum or stainless.
• Welding certificate preferred but not required.

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
