Overview
Scope:
Direct contact for major projects involving complex mechanical repair, adjustments, and potential equipment problems to maintain the safety, efficiency, and productivity of equipment and plant operations within the Daddy Ray facility. Maintain preventative maintenance of major equipment and report problems to Maintenance Supervisor/Manager or Engineer.
- Repair equipment and building functions that are utilized in daily operations.
- Assist in installation of new machinery and equipment.
- Fabrication of parts and equipment.
- Assist in the identification of design enhancements that can be made to improve equipment reliability while working with vendors and engineering to implement these changes.
- Report broken/inoperable/unsafe equipment to shift supervisor, maintenance manager, and/or plant engineer and take immediate corrective action if warranted.
- Advise Manager of potential equipment and building issues.
- Preventative maintenance.
- Guide and assist Maintenance Technicians in equipment repairs.
- Assist supervisors in after-hours maintenance calls.
- Work independently on various projects assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
- Maintain ongoing training in: OSHA regulated programs;
Food Defense, GMPs, HACCP, CCP Procedures;
Lock Out / Tag Out; PPE;
Machine Operation; reading and understanding production specifications; understanding and recording data on process documents. - Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner; comply with company work rules, safety rules, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain strong interdepartmental communication that facilitates goals.
- Responsible for food safety and quality; adhere to all environmental, health and safety requirements and procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- 3+ years’ maintenance experience working for consumer product manufacturer.
- 3+ years’ experience in welding, PLC, preventative maintenance, fabrication, and knowledge of in-house equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work multiple shifts; some weekend work required.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
