Material Handler

Location: Kansas City

Staffmark is currently seeking a Material Handler for a position in Riverside, MO.

Shift: 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM (days may vary)

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for manually or using a hand truck to move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated locations within the facility or onto trucks. This position typically reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Lead.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various material handling tasks using a hand truck or manual methods.
• Load finished products onto pallets or hand trucks.
• Stack skids or pallets in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas by sweeping floors, cleaning offices, and disposing of trash in proper containers.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Required Skills/

Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 6 months of related experience preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per day.
• Capable of lifting and/or pulling 50 lbs without restrictions.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching required.
• Willingness to work in environments with varying noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature fluctuations.
• Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
