Maintenance Leader (Supervisor) based in our City of Industry, CA beverage manufacturing facility.
Job Summary:
This role is part of the IWS line trio which consists of a Line Leader, Maintenance Leader and Process Engineer. The line trio has 24/7 ownership of the performance of an assigned line(s). The role of the Maintenance Leader is to champion equipment reliability and performance for an assigned line and is responsible for the equipment maintenance plan and breakdown analysis execution for the assigned line(s).
The role reports into the Business Unit Leader and will indirectly lead a team of 8 maintenance technicians.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Lead the scheduling of maintenance work to schedule maintenance work for the next week and next month as dictated by the annual maintenance plan and previously identified work. Will review and prioritize work orders and notifications within 24 hours of generation and ensure the work order backlog is current, sorted for reporting. Develop and update annual maintenance plan and calendar.
- Lead the review of the previous job completion results, other maintenance activities and today’s plan in the Daily Meeting. Plans should be adjusted accordingly based upon scheduled work, scheduled work completion, and break in work.
- Actively support and coordinate the planned stop, incorporating work orders and maintenance tasks into the Plan.
- Lead optimization with Line Leader/Process Engineer of startup and shutdown of line and major maintenance interventions.
- Ensure the revision and updating of “Maintenance Technical Documentation” occurs as necessary.
- Create One Point Lessons (OPL) and train and qualify line team in maintenance activities.
- Ensure maintenance indicator results & in process measures are tracked and kept current.
- Ensure results of maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and in process measures are used to assess the progress of the Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (MP&S) system and to determine equipment reliability. Results are shared with the department leadership in the monthly meeting.
- Monitor the health of Preventative Maintenance (PM), Daily Management System (DMS), and recommend corrective action with line team:
Breakdown Elimination (BDE), MP&S, support Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Clean Inspect and Lubricate (CIL), Centerline (CL), Defect Handling (DH), workshop and facilities, lubrication, maintenance costs, parts usage, and life - Develop improvement plans through the tracking of maintenance indicators & in process measures
- Ensures all equipment design change proposals (corrective maintenance), add/delete/modify work follows the Change Management (CM) procedures
- Confirm maintenance technical documentation and equipment drawings and schematics are complete, accurate, easy to find and easy to use.
- Collaborate with the storeroom in order to identify obsolete parts, off quality parts, ideal in stock numbers, required delivery time of parts, etc.
- Provides feedback to design on any new equipment or line speed changes
- Participate in vendor acceptance testing or other project work on new products or equipment
- Be a member of the PM pillar team as required and own a site PM system as required
- Serve as a subject matter expert that is called upon to support the team down the IWS path including coaching and developing other maintenance leaders both in the plant and within the network.
- Deliver on SQCDMN daily/weekly/monthly/yearly goals and objectives through individual and team efforts
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations (WISE) to ensure a safe working environment
Engagement in our Integrated Work Systems
Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE).
