Job SummaryBarn workers are responsible for handling all animals humanely, maintaining accurate documentation of cattle received and on site, and ensuring cleanliness of the barn area.
Key Responsibilities- Work with live cattle.
- Move cattle to proper locations within the barn (e.g., truck to scale, scale to pen, pen to knock).
- Ensure all gates are secure to prevent mixing of producer’s cattle.
- Keep accurate documentation.
- Verify cattle counts and pen locations.
- Fill out ante-mortem inspection sheets and ensure all cattle are properly inspected prior to harvest.
- Ensure cattle have access to clean water sources.
- Separate slow/ challenged cattle; knock non‑ambulatory or challenged animals.
- Communicate with Harvest Management, USDA, and Finance team.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to work in a humid, hot, wet, slippery, or at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of PPE.
- Previous experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment.
- Previous heavy machinery experience in manufacturing environment.
- Previous livestock handling/beef production experience.
- Always be aware of your surroundings.
- Follow all safety, food safety, and animal welfare procedures.
- Be attentive to detail.
- Work safely, wear PPE, and follow instructions.
- Attend work consistently.
- Stand for lengthy periods of time.
- Display strong work ethic.

Wentzville, MO. Salary: $40,000–$61,000. Full‑time, entry level.
