Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our growing Generator Manufacturing Division.

All Machine Operators begin by learning and operating press brake equipment, developing a strong foundation in precision metal fabrication, machine operation, and quality standards. As employees gain experience, demonstrate proficiency, and expand their technical skills, they will have opportunities to advance into operating our Salvagnini automated sheet metal fabrication equipment and other advanced manufacturing machinery.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing high‑quality metal components used in the manufacturing of industrial power generation equipment. This includes interpreting shop drawings, operating machinery, verifying measurements, and ensuring finished products meet established quality standards.

The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Previous machine operating or metal fabrication experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates dependability, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow.

• Learn to set up and operate press brake equipment to bend and form metal components according to shop drawings and production specifications.
• Develop the skills necessary to advance into operating Salvagnini automated sheet metal fabrication equipment and other manufacturing machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and production instructions.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including tape measures, calipers, and other tools, to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy.
• Monitor machine operations to maintain production efficiency, quality, and consistency.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Perform machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting as needed.
• Identify and communicate equipment malfunctions, material defects, and quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Minimize material waste through proper machine operation, material handling, and efficient production practices.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and general machine upkeep.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures, equipment operating guidelines, and quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production goals.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new equipment, cross‑train, and take on additional responsibilities.
