The Volunteer Manager plays a vital role in coordinating and overseeing the volunteer program at Embrace Center. This position involves recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to ensure they have a rewarding experience while contributing meaningfully to our mission. You’ll be the primary point of contact for volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages long-term engagement.
Key Responsibilities :- Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
- Organize orientation and training sessions to prepare volunteers for various roles.
- Match volunteers with opportunities that align with their skills, interests, and availability.
- Provide ongoing support, recognition, and feedback to volunteers to ensure their success.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, participation, and feedback.
- Collaborate with program staff to identify volunteer needs and opportunities.
- Plan volunteer appreciation events and activities to recognize their contributions.
- Ensure that all volunteer activities comply with organizational policies and safety standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, human resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers.
- Proficiency in using volunteer management software or databases is a plus.
