Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – 13‑Week Contract

$68.00 per hour

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) provides advanced nursing care to adolescent or adult female patients during the childbearing process, performing assessments, interventions, and education. The RN works under the direction of the appropriate client representative on the Labor & Delivery Unit.

• Conduct individual patient assessment and monitoring, prioritizing data collection based on patient conditions.
• Perform ongoing nursing assessment as dictated by patient condition and client protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Provide maternal and fetal monitoring according to protocols.
• Offer patient and family education.
• Initiate emergency measures per resuscitation protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Advocate patient rights regarding advance directives and organ donation.
• Report patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift.
• Participate in continuing education and meet state requirements.
• Demonstrate effective delegation and professional ethics.

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current and unrestricted RN license in state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in a Labor & Delivery Unit within the last 3 years.
• Ability to work in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Med Surg; float to Med Surg at least half time.
• Proficiency in Meditech EMR.
• Valid CPR, BLS, NRP, PALS, and other required certifications.
• Physically able to work in client facility settings with exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
• Willingness to work nights and 13‑week contract commitment.
