The primary responsibility of the Part Time Nurse (LPN, LVN) is to deliver quality direct resident care under appropriate clinical supervision to adolescents with psychiatric or emotional disorders.

• Provide general nursing necessary to treatment of youth
• Serve as a positive role model for assigned youth
• Conduct daily sick calls
• Supervise the administration of all medication, as permitted by license
• Supervise all medication procurement and storage
• Ensure follow‑up instructions from all off‑campus treatments are followed as scheduled
• Meet with RN daily to obtain pertinent data for continuous medical care and update nurse’s notes in the medical records
• Conduct health education classes for all youth
• Assist youth in carrying out activities of daily living when congruent with the treatment plan and needs, age and developmental level
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for youth
• Transport youth to medical appointments; document visits in medical records and charts and nurse’s notes
• Attend required training/professional development events and maintain appropriate certification(s) and license(s)
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing (LPN, LVN)
• Minimum of one year nursing experience
• Possess a valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of employment
• Obtain and maintain appropriate crisis intervention and physical restraint training and certification as defined by state requirements
• Obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification by a nationally recognized organization
• Travel is required
