The Float Pool supplies nursing coverage across multiple inpatient units. As an RN II in the Float Pool, you will be oriented to Medical‑Surgical, Telemetry, MSSU, Ortho, PCU, and critical care units as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care including medication administration
- Demonstrate advanced assessment skills to evaluate signs, symptoms, and behaviors
- Identify and adapt to specific population needs, including cultural and psychosocial factors
- Assist co‑workers, new staff, temporary staff, and students
- Act as a change champion and participate in departmental quality improvement activities
7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. nightly shifts, 12‑hour duration.
Qualifications Educational Requirements- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
- Valid California RN license
- BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS if floating to the Emergency Department
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Demonstrated dedication to customer service and ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues
