This position is open for a SUBSTITUTE Licensed Vocational Nurse within the Child and Family Services program at the Stanislaus County Office of Education. The role is part‑time and requires flexible scheduling to support Head Start and family services.
Job SummaryBASIC FUNCTIONS:
Under the direction of a program administrator, perform tasks to implement health policies, procedures, and emergency/medical health care plans; ensure health compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and California Community Care Licensing requirements; assess, refer and provide for the health needs of enrolled Head Start children and expectant mothers; develop and disseminate health education information to teachers, parents, and children.
/ Qualifications
Required Documents:
- Current valid California State license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Valid PEDIATRIC CPR and First Aid Certification
- Valid Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) approved CPR and First Aid Certification covering adult, child, and infant (pediatric) using one of the following curricula:
American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Pediatric CPR and First Aid offered at accredited colleges and universities.
