Classification: Certified Nursing Assistant – Range A ($3,471.00–$4,346.00) / Range B ($3,724.00–$4,665.00)

Salary: $3,471.00 – $4,665.00 per month (new-to-state candidates awarded minimum).

Work Type: Permanent, Full‑Time

Shift: Varies, Rotating Schedule (overtime required)

Telework: In Office

This position is responsible for providing nursing and basic care services to residents of the Veterans Home of California – Chula Vista. You will support the physical needs of residents, assist with hygiene, feeding, positioning, and other daily living activities, and work under the guidance of licensed nursing staff.

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Monitor and record residents' vital signs and changes in condition and report to nursing staff.
• Promote a clean, safe, and respectful environment for all residents.
• Follow infection control and health‑care safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including nurses, occupational therapists, and family members.
• Provide compassionate care and support to residents and their families.

• California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate or currently pursuing certification.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Completion of the required CNA exam with passing score prior to employment.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and transfer residents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Provide a copy of the CNA certificate and CPR certificate prior to hire.
• Successful completion of a live scan and pre‑employment physical (drug testing if required).
• Ability to pass the required state examination.
