American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Neuro Stepdown/Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience and a MO or compact RN license.

• Stepdown Neuro unit in a short-term acute care hospital
• Flex acuity unit ranging from PCU/Stepdown to Telemetry patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating may be required to like units
• EPIC charting system experience required

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS strongly preferred
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with IV therapy, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience managing respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with insulin drip titration and IV insulin protocols

• Level II Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital setting
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must work 4 of 8 designated holiday dates including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's holidays
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates not accepted; must live outside a 70-mile radius from the facility
• RTO dates must be submitted at time of consideration
• Clinicians must not have worked as a traveler for the health system within the past year without a required 6-month break
