Perry County School District No. 32 is seeking a School Nurse & Health Records Coordinator for the  school year.

The School Nurse promotes, protects, maintains, and improves the health and well-being of students and school personnel to support a safe, healthy, and productive learning and working environment. The School Nurse provides health services, manages student and staff health records, administers medications, conducts screenings, assists with emergency preparedness, and collaborates with administrators, families, healthcare providers, and community agencies. The School Nurse is responsible for the management, maintenance, organization, secure storage, retention, and confidentiality of student and staff health records throughout the K– 12 school district.

This responsibility includes ensuring records are accurate, accessible only to authorized individuals, appropriately maintained, and handled in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requirements, and Board of Education policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess a minimum of one of the following:

• Diploma in Nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

SALARY RANGE

Starting at $45,274.00

• New employees receive credit for previous FULL years of verified experience in appropriate experience related to the area in which they will work.
• Current District 32 salary schedules .

WORK SCHEDULE: This is an 11-month position that works 7.75 hours per day, Monday
- Friday.

BENEFITS: School nurses at Perry County School District 32 receive the following benefits:

• The district pays up to $650.00 per month for the employee’s medical insurance, which begins on the first day of the month following the official employment date. Vision, dental, and life insurance are optional and at employee expense.
• District-paid $10,000.00 life insurance policy.
• Paid leave: 8 sick days and unused sick leave will be cumulative to 180 days, with a maximum carryover of 172 days; 4 personal days that do not carryover, but are added to the annual sick leave and then qualify for accumulation.
• Excellent retirement package, with District-matched 6.86% contribution to PEERS.
