Location: California

We are in search of a veterinarian with a passion for cats and shelter medicine.

Join our non‑profit dedicated to advocating for cats' safety, health, and value. We save lives daily through spay/neuter programs, trap‑neuter‑return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. All experience levels will be considered; shelter medicine experience, a plus!

  • Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
  • Find loving homes for rescued cats and kittens.
  • Transform shelters into safe havens for cats with life‑saving policies and procedures.

Position:
Veterinarian (Full, Part‑Time or Relief)

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical services including exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
  • Ensure proper medication administration.
  • Continuously improve medical management and care quality.
  • Oversee shelter drug and supply inventory, meeting DEA requirements.
  • Guide and train staff on medical problem‑solving.
  • Foster teamwork and public relations.
  • Maintain licensing and complete continuing education.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications
  • Valid California veterinary license and DEA license.
  • Malpractice insurance.
  • Ability to thrive in a shelter environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Professionalism and good judgment.
