About the Role
The Commercial Pest Control Technician plays a critical role in maintaining safe, hygienic, and pest‑free environments for a variety of commercial clients in Edwardsville, IL, and Florissant, MO. This position involves thorough inspection, identification, and treatment of pest infestations using industry‑approved methods and products. The technician will develop and implement customized pest management plans tailored to each commercial facility, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Success in this role directly contributes to protecting client property, preserving public health, and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective pest control solutions. The technician will also serve as a knowledgeable resource, educating clients on pest prevention strategies and maintaining detailed service records to support ongoing pest management efforts.

Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain state pest control applicator licenses as required.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Previous experience in commercial pest control or a related field.
- Certification in integrated pest management (IPM).
- Knowledge of local pest species and their behaviors in the Edwardsville, IL and Florissant, MO areas.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of commercial properties to identify pest activity and potential entry points.
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments safely and effectively, following all regulatory guidelines and company protocols.
- Develop and implement integrated pest management plans customized to each client’s unique environment and pest challenges.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of services performed, chemicals used, and client communications.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to explain findings, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Monitor treated areas regularly to assess treatment effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure all equipment and vehicles are maintained in good working order and comply with safety standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, new pest control technologies, and regulatory changes through ongoing training.
