Position Overview

The ideal candidate is a dependable, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting. This role is integral to supporting our veterinarians in both routine and advanced medical procedures, ensuring top-tier care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood sample collection with accuracy and confidence
• Place and maintain intravenous and urinary catheters
• Administer vaccinations and medications under a veterinarian's supervision
• Assist in radiographic procedures, including patient positioning and safety protocol adherence
• Support veterinarians during surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and post-operative care
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure a clean, organized treatment area
• Provide client education and support regarding patient care, medications, and follow-up instructions

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical veterinary setting preferred
• Proficiency in blood draws, catheter placement, radiology, and surgical assistance is required
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Veterinary Technician in California (RVT preferred but not required)
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• A commitment to patient care and team collaboration
