Educator II

We are hiring Educators with high degree of concentration and attention to detail to join our education team! Our Educator II develops and facilitates learning experiences for the Johnny Morris Foundation which includes Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum, the Lost Canyon Cave Trail, Dogwood Canyon, Wonders of Wildlife, and other conservation attraction properties.

Dogwood Canyon Nature Park is a 10,000-acre slice of alluring Ozarks paradise offering hiking, biking, Segway tours, wildlife tram tours, horseback riding, and trout fishing. The vision of noted conservationist and Bass Pro Shops founder, the property in Lampe, Missouri serves as an outdoor playground for people of all ages to connect with the great outdoors and inspires visitors to get involved in wildlife conservation.

The natural beauty of the park includes towering bluffs, waterfalls, creek beds, handcrafted bridges, and wildlife such as American bison, Rocky Mountain elk and Texas Longhorn cattle. Dogwood Canyon features a fully functioning gristmill, Canyon Grill restaurant, Nature and Conservation Center, Little Indian Stables with a rider's lounge and a treehouse built by Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters. Educators II have and important role within the education department. An Educator II will facilitate many types of education and conservation programs from summer camps, birthday parties, discovery stations, to field experiences while always ensuring children's safety during any program offered within the conservation attraction properties. They assist various outdoor skill and conservation-focused programming. An Educator II will handle and present a variety of small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and insects for educational programs and follow proper handling procedures.
