Location: California

Forestry Technician – Internship

Join Sierra Pacific Industries as a Forestry Technician intern, gaining real‑world experience in sustainable resource management while learning from seasoned professionals.

Compensation

Competitive hourly wage of $19.50 to $21.50 per hour and a housing allowance for qualifying individuals.

Responsibilities
  • Timber cruising and harvest unit layout
  • Sawmill log procurement and logging administration
  • Timber Harvest Plan (THP) preparation
  • Wildlife and botany work with GIS support
  • Road layout and reforestation duties
Qualifications
  • Current enrollment or acceptance in a Forestry, Natural Resources, or related program (preferred)
  • Ability to cross‑country hike and negotiate steep, brushy terrain
  • Valid driver’s license
Base Locations

California:
Anderson, Camino, Sonora, and Weaverville
Oregon:
Eugene
