Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid State CDL license
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to two years of related experience
- May be required to attend the Louisiana Animal Control Certification Academy
The applicant will implement the parish animal control program by apprehending, impounding, and caring for stray animals at the small animal control facility, and will ensure compliance with and enforcement of parish animal control laws. Other tasks include animal control, environmental safety enforcement, and overseeing building permit requirements.
