I am partnering with a fast-growing ingredient solutions company supporting leading supplement, beverage, and food brands to hire a hands‑on Quality leader to own both QA and QC. You’ll inherit a solid foundation, then build, refine, and scale SOPs, vendor qualification, and material controls while leading a team of 8‑10 reports.

• Own QA + QC strategy and execution across incoming materials, in-process, and release.
• Author, refine, and enforce SOPs; drive CAPA, deviations, change control, and audit readiness.
• Build and mature supplier qualification and material quality programs (risk‑based).
• Partner with external labs on assay//heavy metals and method alignment.
• Coach and develop a dual‑location team
  ; introduce metrics, cadence, and accountability.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally (Ops, Supply Chain, R&D, Commercial) to enable safe, fast‑scale growth.

• Scope & impact: Own the full QA/QC charter and build the next stage of the quality system.
• Growth: Direct exposure to the COO and senior leadership; with Director‑level influence.
• Pace: High‑innovation environment with diverse categories (supplements, beverage, food).
• 6–10 years in supplements / beverage / food quality with GMP foundations;
  NSF/Organic exposure.
• Proven people leadership (or a step‑up story with clear leadership signals) and startup/growth mindset
  .
• Demonstrated SOP authorship (not just adherence) and ownership of supplier/material controls
  .
• Comfortable working onsite in Irvine most of the week; excellent cross‑timezone communication (US/China).
• Hands‑on with lab testing workflows and external lab partnerships (assay, , heavy metals).

• Contract manufacturing (CMO) background; multi‑site coordination.
• Audit wins (FDA/NSF/Organic) and measurable quality system improvements.
• Track record implementing QMS tools, dashboards, or data‑driven KPIs.
