Four 10-Hour Shifts Per Week
Lockwood Packing Company is hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our Quality Assurance Department. As a QA Technician, you'll help ensure our snack stick products meet company quality and food safety standards by performing inspections, monitoring production processes, verifying documentation, and identifying concerns when standards are not met.
This is a hands‑on position that works closely with our production team throughout the manufacturing process. We're looking for someone with strong attention to detail, food safety knowledge, and previous quality assurance experience in a food manufacturing environment.

- Monitor production processes to ensure food safety and quality requirements are being followed
- Perform product inspections, including temperature checks, weight verification, label checks, and packaging inspections
- Collect product samples for testing as required
- Complete quality records and documentation accurately
- Track product and ingredient information throughout the production process
- Identify and report food safety, quality, sanitation, or production concerns
- Document issues and assist with corrective actions when standards are not met
- Assist with internal audits, USDA inspections, and other quality verification activities
- Work with Production and Sanitation teams to maintain food safety and quality standards
- Follow company food safety, quality, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of quality assurance experience, preferably in food or meat manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards
- Ability to accurately complete records and documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and data entry systems
- HACCP, SQF, PCQI, GMP, or other food safety training is helpful
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred, but not required
- Stand and walk for extended periods, up to 10 hours per shift
- Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and reach while conducting inspections
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while collecting samples, inspecting products, and completing documentation
- Work in varying temperatures, including refrigerated production areas approximately 30°F–45°F
- Work around raw and processed meat products, food allergens, moving equipment, wet floors, and production noise
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Full-time position
- Typical schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week
- Schedule may vary based on production needs
- Some nights or weekends may be required
