Research Lab Technician – Dr. Shiyou Chen’s Lab
The Department of Surgery at the University of Missouri is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Research Technicians to join the laboratory of Dr. Shiyou Chen. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and productive research environment focused on advancing scientific discovery.
Responsibilities- Conducting experiments and collecting data
- Assisting with the preparation of research reports
- Managing mouse colonies and performing genotyping
- Performing molecular biology techniques such as Western blotting, PCR, and immunostaining
- Processing mouse tissues and conducting histological analyses
- Preparing reagents and maintaining cell cultures
- Capturing, analyzing, and/or managing data sets
- Ensuring proper disposal of laboratory waste and maintaining a clean, safe lab environment
Shift Type:
Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
Office/Administrative
Hours:
No – Position will not have Office/Admin Hours.
Flexibility for Alternative Schedules:
No.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Salary Range$13.75 - $16.48.
