Responsibilities
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of chemical and physical properties of diverse organic compounds in agrochemical formulations to support the client’s R&D pipeline and product portfolio.
  • Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a high-throughput analytical chemistry laboratory environment.
  • Plan and accomplish diverse, fast-paced analytical workflows with limited supervision.
  • Execute routine and non-routine benchtop analytical tasks requested by diverse customers and stakeholders.
  • Develop methods for determining chemical compositions of agrochemical formulations/products using HPLC/UPLC/LCMS/GC.
  • Conduct physical-chemical characterization techniques such as density, particle size analysis, viscosity, surface tension, contact angle, thermal analysis by DSC/TGA, optical/electron microscopy, and FTIR/NIR/UV-Vis spectroscopy.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders across R&D, manufacturing, and product supply.

  • Self-motivated, self-starting, with the ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing analytical/scientific situations.

Position

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Join the Analytical Sciences Hub to support active ingredient analyses within R&D formulations and products.
  • Respond to collaborator/partner inquiries and analytic/data troubleshooting/reporting requests promptly.
  • Maintain meticulous approach to analytical work and data quality.
  • Prepare complex liquid and solid matrices for qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Optimize and develop new sample preparation and analytical methods to support R&D pipeline and existing products.
  • Lead efforts to improve existing analytic methods and develop new methods as needed.
  • Write reports and interpret/report analytical results to stakeholders across R&D, manufacturing, and product supply.
Requirements & Preferences
  • BS in Analytical Chemistry or closely related field.
  • Hands‑on experience preparing complex agrochemical sample matrices for analysis with HPLC/UPLC/LCMS/GC and related techniques.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation.
  • Experience with sample preparation and method development for chemical samples.
  • Experience with sample cleanup techniques to enrich active ingredients in chemical samples.
  • Experience with robotic sample preparation desirable.
  • Detail‑oriented and highly organized.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Timely and intelligent communications with demanding customers/stakeholders.
  • Self‑motivated and self‑starting.
  • Agile and able to respond to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-throughput, fast‑paced, dynamic laboratory environment.
  • Willingness to train and work across analytical disciplines.
  • 1‑3 years of relevant experience.
