Role Description

This hybrid role is based in the USA as a Pacific Islands Investment Forum – Grants – Program and Research Assistant. The role involves coordinating and supporting grant program activities, conducting research, preparing program‑related documentation, and managing stakeholder communications. The successful candidate will also contribute to event organization, reporting, and data analysis to support strategic objectives. Some work can be completed remotely, allowing for flexibility.

The Pacific Islands Investment Forum (PIIF) has officially announced that its next major gathering of regional pension and sovereign wealth fund leaders will move to Vanuatu.

  • Host:
    Vanuatu National Provident Fund (VNPF)
  • Key Focus:
    After the 2025 “Investment Expo” in Fiji, the 2026 forum is expected to focus on the operational rollout of the PIIF Co‑investment Platform, designed to allow member funds to jointly fund large‑scale Pacific infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
  • Research and analytical skills, with an aptitude for gathering, evaluating, and summarizing data to support program objectives.
  • Experience in grant management, program coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong writing, editing, and documentation skills to prepare reports, proposals, and communications materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with information and communication technologies (ICT).
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience or interest in sustainable development, nonprofit work, or related fields is highly desirable.
  • A degree in International Development, Environmental Studies, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Preferably with Fellow and certification.
