We are seeking a Cook for Fair Oaks Estates – Assisted Living & Memory Care Community.

• Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for residents.
• Adhere strictly to food safety guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment at all times.
• Indirectly supervise and guide junior cooks and food‑service workers.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to plan menus and create specialized dishes.
• Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of food items.
• Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and special nutritional needs.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
• Contribute to the development of new menu items and culinary offerings.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of food production and waste management.

• Experience in a professional kitchen setting.
• Knowledge of food safety.
• Passion for food and cooking techniques.
• Familiarity with food service disaster plans.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary degree or certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
