Key Purpose

As a R&D Cook at ISS Guckenheimer, you’ll be an integral part of our culinary team, preparing high‑quality meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events. You will handle everything from prepping ingredients to executing menu items with precision and care. This role involves innovation, precision, and a deep understanding of flavors, ingredients, and cooking techniques. Your contributions will ensure our guests enjoy exceptional dining experiences while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
  • Adhering to workplace safety, food safety, and HACCP guidelines to the highest standards.
  • Operating large‑volume culinary equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Bringing at least one year of professional cooking experience or equivalent education.
Key Accountabilities
  • Clock in and out for workday and clock in and out during breaks.
  • Deliver outstanding service quality aligned with ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards.
  • Follow and execute precise food preparation procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cooking and preparation techniques, as assigned.
  • Prepare recipes per Net Menu specifications, ensuring meals are executed flawlessly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and follow all sanitation procedures, exceeding government and company regulations.
  • Promptly inform management of ingredient availability issues, safety concerns, or any situation needing attention.
  • Attend all required meetings and embrace a team‑oriented work environment.
  • Take on additional duties as needed, contributing to overall success.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Frequently reach, bend, stoop, push, or lift up to 35 pounds, using team lifts and equipment as necessary.
  • Come to work dressed appropriately and ready to excel in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Thrive under pressure, especially during busy service periods.
