Responsibilities- Leadership
- Mentor and train a team of bartenders, ensuring they provide excellent service, adhere to company policies, and uphold the resort's high standards.
- Ensure operations of the bar run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the resort’s standards.
- Guest Service & Beverage Creation
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality beverages, including signature cocktails, premium spirits, wines, and non‑alcoholic beverages with precision and creativity.
- Engage with guests to provide personalized service, taking note of preferences, making recommendations, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Develop and refine the bar’s menu, creating unique and seasonal cocktails that align with the resort’s luxury brand.
- Bar Operations & Inventory
- Manage bar inventory, ensuring proper stock levels, and placing orders for liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware in collaboration with the Food and Beverage Manager.
- Maintain an organized and well‑stocked bar area, ensuring that all supplies are kept in good condition and are easily accessible for staff.
- Monitor and control inventory usage, minimizing waste, and ensuring accurate record‑keeping of all beverage‑related expenses.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and provide input for budgeting and cost control.
- Training & Development
- Ensure all bartenders are properly trained on the resort’s beverage program, including wine pairings, cocktail techniques, and safety protocols.
- Foster a positive, motivating, and team‑oriented work environment, encouraging continuous learning and development.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all bartenders comply with local and resort‑specific regulations, including responsible alcohol service, health and safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including all glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Address any safety concerns and report incidents in a timely manner, following proper procedures.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and restaurant teams to ensure smooth service during busy times, and that guest requests are fulfilled promptly.
- Maintain clear and open communication with the Food and Beverage Manager and other department leaders to address any operational needs or concerns.
- Assist in hosting and executing private events, cocktail parties, and resort‑wide gatherings as needed.
WAGE:
The hourly range for this position is $17–$19, plus gratuities and service charge, with potential to earn up to $47–$60 per hour.
SHIFT:
This position requires an open and flexible schedule. It will be expected to work a variety of opening, closing, weekend, and holiday shifts.
