• Greet and assist customers promptly:
  Approach and acknowledge customers, provide assistance, and handle multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs:
  Share product knowledge, answer questions, direct customers to merchandise, and offer recommendations; engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions:
  Inform customers about current events and promotions to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns:
  Address issues using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management:
  Regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals:
  Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives, contributing to a positive work environment.
• Operate cash register and handle transactions in a professional and accurate manner.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove items up to 5-10 feet high; frequently ascend/descend ladders to stock and retrieve merchandise.
• Remain physically active in stock rooms and on the sales floor; kneel, bend, twist, and stoop as needed.
• Communicate with customers, managers, and coworkers both in person and by phone; exchange accurate information in all interactions.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs, including day, evening, weekends, and potential overnight shifts and travel as required.

• At least 16 years old
• Available to work a flexible schedule
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, handheld/mobile devices)
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
• Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training
