Job Description

The Distributor Sales Manager
Southern Europe
, reporting to the Director, Distributor Sales Europe of Topcon
, is responsible for leading our distribution sales efforts in one of the European countries assigned (France, , Italy, Spain, Belgium or Netherlands)

Core duties:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth through distribution partners in the assigned region.
  • Manage relationships with distribution partners, including regular communication, training, and support to ensure their success in promoting and selling our products.
  • Identify and pursue new distribution opportunities and partnerships to expand our market reach and increase sales.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges and develop solutions to drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure effective product distribution and customer support.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback to develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition and optimize distribution efforts.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Distribution Management on sales performance, market trends, and key metrics related to distribution sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in distribution sales, preferably in a leadership role
    . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distribution sales, proven leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through distribution channels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with distribution partners and customers.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop relationships with distribution partners.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to drive sales strategies and plans.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
  • The candidate has a good Business English language (both written and speaking)
  • Knowledge of another European language (
    French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch
    ) is considered a strong advantage
    .
  • The selected candidate lives or is resident in one of the European countries (France, Italy, Spain, Belgium or Netherlands)
